Those Damm Clouds!

 I have been obsessed with Willian Turner.   His use of colour , his background palette, his ability to capture movement and emotion.  My ultimate painting project for Painting 1 with Mandy was this Turner Prairie Storm painting.  I was madly rushing to beat this storm, I was driving from Drumheller to Calgary, the more I drove the more I saw a cyclone being created ahead of me.  But I marvelled at the fury and rhapsody of the sky and how blurry my electrical poles were becoming, using them as guidance to stay on the road. I promised myself I would try to paint this moment, the mortality, the vulnerability and the sublime.
